This exercise involves using a stationary stationary in the first part and then panning the camera in addition to the object movement.
Using a stationary camera:
(1/2500), The car is stopped midair.
(1/2000) the car is stopped midair, but the tires are a bit blurry from spinning.
(1/1000) The car is beginning to get just a bit blurry.
Stationary Camera, Speeds 1/500, 1/250. 1/125 In this sequence of photos, the car gets progressively more blurry. The track itself is still sharp.

The car continues to get more blurry in 1/60, 1/30 and 1/15. The track is beginning to blur from the car shaking it.

For the 1/13 and 1/10 images, the distinct car has been replaced by a blur. Also in these images, the track can be seen to blur from movement of the car on the track.

The second part of the exercise is to adjust the shutter speed while panning the camera to observe the effect on the background.
You can see the camera has panned to the right between images at the same speed. Due to the fast shutter speed, the car is sharper and the background is more blurred.
Interesting note, the speed of the car is approximately the same for all the images since it is set by gravity. The camera was manually rotated to stay on the car and there is less precision in the amount of blur of the background.
